:: ABOUT ME...

Michael was born in Wels, Austria on a 5th of October.
He started playing classical guitar at the age of 12 at a private classical guitar school in Lambach in Upper Austria near his hometown.This was not that kind of stuff he wanted to play, but important basics for his further way. So he bought some books to learn the basic stuff for playin electric guitar. He practiced exercising nearly every day and found his first band with some friends called "EINBAHN". He had the first gig at the age of 17 in a local club. Now he knew what he would like to do: To be on stage as often as possible!

1980 - 1983"EINBAHN"

1983 - 1984 "ASH" (with a few members of Einbahn)

1984 - 1991 "SPLIT" -In SPLIT he also was the leadsinger and recorded 2 singles and a lot of demotapes. with both singles they entered the austrian top 40 charts and they did a lot of shows in the german spoken area. The airplay was very well at the radio stations and for the first time he got some money for playing guitar...that was really cool;-) In 1990 the bandmembers of SPLIT went their own ways and quit playing in bands.

1991 - 1993 " Surrender" - a local metal band where mike played together for the first time with leadsinger RITCHIE KRENMAIER. mike & ritchie grew up in the same street in their hometown and they are still good friends. ritchie also is the singer in mike's current band DELLA STREET and in the well known metal band from salzburg "STYGMAIV".

1993 - 1995 "PHOENIXX" in phoenix he also did the part of the leadsinger and played support shows for bands like: DEEP PURPLE, JETHRO TULL,SWEET, PRETTY MAIDS only to name a few.

1995 - 1997 "MIND GALLERY" in mind gallery mike tried to go the progressive way of rock and he wrote some great songs together with ritchie, who joined the band to put in his great voice. they did a couple of shows in local clubs and one of it was recorded on video tape which still exists. this was the music mike really loved and a lot of songs were written by him, but not performed anymore because the other members prefered other ways to go in their private life.

1997- 2007 "DELLA STREET" - one of the most important music projects, because this was the first time mike did it as a professional. Until now he nearly played 350 shows with della street and. della street was a cover rock project with some great musicians. View a lot of pics on Michaels MySpace Site from that time.

2005 - 2007 "WATERLOO & ROBINSON" - in summer 2005 mike already had the second request from the very well known austrian pop duo waterloo & robinson to join them on the guitar. waterloo & robinson are the performers of such great hits like "HOLLYWOOD, BABY BLUE, MY LITTLE WORD and a lot more. mike enjoys his work with them and they will have a good time together!

2005 - ? "KARMA KILLER" is that project formerly known as "MIND GALLERY". The name mind gallery already is used by other bands, so michael decided to rename it in KARMA KILLER. the line up consists of great musicians and already 7 songs those exist again to be revised and recorded.

2007 - ? "STEIRERBLUAT" Since the End of August Michael is the new Guitar Player in the very well known and succesful Austrian Pop Band. He will play 180 - 200 Shows per year, what means this is his main job now. The band has a major deal with Sony BMG and will release new Albums regularly. The Steirerbluat Guys are really great people and musicians and Michael enjoys their company!
